Benefit Watt's Up Highlighter | Review

I am a huge fan of highlighters but Have only owned/tried powder ones. The Benefit Watt's Up Highlighter is a creamy stick highlighter in a champagne tone that, in my humble opinion, works for all skin tones.
When I saw this at my nearest benefit counter I thought I would give it a go. No matter if you have a light or dark skin tone , It's kind of universal color. The texture is creamy, but not oily or sticky. The finish is cream to powder and is super natural on the skin.
I love how easy it is to apply and blend. I either tab in onto my cheek bones from the stick or with my finger then blend it it with a brush. It does come with a sponge tip which is supposed to be used to blend it in but I don't bother with that. It's give such a beautiful glow which lasts all day . It is also gorgeously pigmented.

I highly recommend giving this a look at whenever you are near a benefit couter. It's a great alternative to the powder highlighter and I am sure you will be impressed.

Best Gradual Tanner? | Dove Summer Glow

I had been using Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula Natural Bronze Gradual Tann to achieve that golden summer glow,  however as Boots are currently selling Dove Summer Glow Body Lotion at half price I decided I might as well try something new. Especially as Dove’s product also claims to give a subtle and even tan without leaving those dreaded streaky marks.
Dove’s Summer Glow Lotion on the other hand has a very pleasent smell which just reminds me of a normal body lotion. If you are applying this in the morning and will be wearing it all day you really don’t want to be smelling of fake tan for the day!
In terms of colour Dove’s product does live up to its claims of giving a lovely soft golden glow without streaks. I chose the product for Normal to Dark skin, and after the first application you just get a very soft hint of colour. Further applications allow you to gradually build up  the colour to achieve a richer, darker colour which still appears quite natural. This Lotion is one of their bestselling products and it's no surprise as this makes such a lovely addition to my daily routine.  After applying this, my skin felt so soft and moisturized and had a lovely glow with by the next day.  I personally like a dark tan so I apply this daily and like to really build it up so that I achieve a lovely, natural-looking tan.
The colour is very buildable which is great if you just want something very subtle. I found that after 3 days of application it looked the best and most natural yet noticeable.
It does not go on patchy or streaky at all and the colour is very even.  This is probably what I liked best about the product and If you wash your hands straight away, you will not get orange palms...yay!
The original scent is quite fresh and nice, although the morning after smell is a little biscuit-y but if you shower that goes away. It is SUPER moisturising so even if you don't care about the tanning part, this will leave your skin feeling very soft and supple! It doesn't transfer onto clothes.  I did use it at night and after about 3 days you could see a faint orange tint to my PJ's but with my everyday clothes there wasn't a hint of colour and I wore a few white items!
So on the whole, I would recommend this product if you're looking for a gradual, easy-to-apply base tan.  Again I would say to use it for 3 consecutive days to get the best most natural results.  Now I have stopped using it everyday and am maintaining it every 3 days instead.

I hope that this was helpful!

My Favourite Eyeshadow Palette | Benefit Big Beautiful Eyes

The Big Beautiful Eyes set contains 3 eye shadows and a concealer.  The 3 shadows compliment each other perfectly and work together to enhance your peepers. I often just wear the middle shade all over the lid when I'm not feeling particularly creative or if I'm in a rush - it's such a flattering warm taupe-y kind of colour - right up my street!  The eye shadows are so creamy and pigmented, and are probably some of the most 'buttery' shadows I own - just one swipe provides such good colour pay off and they blend out like a dream. They last very well throughout the day and I find the warmth of the shades quite flattering on my skin - they definitely make my eyes look more awake. The Boi-ing concealer (in '02') is also a great little addition.

If you're a bit unsure on contouring your eyes, then this set is a definite must have as it comes with a handy little instruction booklet and the shades provided are subtle enough to experiment with and wear on a daily basis - perfect for an everyday, neutral eye and nothing too scary or overly smokey. This being said, the shades are amazingly pigmented and noticeable, you only need a tiny bit to create a perfectly simple contoured eyelid.

I really like that you can create a whole eye look purely with the shadows provided, or add a little teeny-tiny flick of eye liner and you're pretty much sorted I can see myself getting a lot of wear out of this, and it's a set I reach for very regularly.  I've never tried any eyeshadows by Benefit but have been really impressed by the consistency and quality.
